The first week will be one hour, practice only. Our first practice is currently scheduled for March 25th at Rocky Hill Middle School with our last game scheduled for May 20th. Players interested in Flag Football and/or Tackle Football will gain tremendous confidence by acquiring and building skills in a positive, supportive environment. It is a non-padded, non-contact clinic focused on the instruction of the basic skills, fundamentals, and strategies of football. The clinic is run by CCHS head football coach and teacher Josh Reed, his coaching staff, and high school player volunteers. Registration is now open for this summer's Patriots Youth Fundamentals Football Clinic to be held July 10th - 12th at CCHS Memorial Field! The cost of the program is $425 for the season (financial assistance is available) but this includes ALL of the needed equipment except for a protective cup, cleats and a mouthguard. For example, although we will have our 7th and 8th graders practicing at the same time and doing a lot of the same drills, we will not have smaller 7th graders in hitting drills against more physically mature 8th graders. We also will be stressing safety in the program - modeling our practices after the outstanding program being run by Coach Josh Reed and his staff at CCHS. 7th and 8th graders will practice together but we will field separate teams for games (so that 7th graders won't have to go up against 8th graders in games). ![]() Practices are expected to be held on Monday and Tuesday evenings at CCHS (specific fields and times are TBD) with 8th grade games on Wednesday evenings and 7th graders playing on Thursday evenings. The season will start on Monday August 21st and run through the week of November 6th. The first two seasons were a great success. The EMMSFL is a developmental league with coaches / programs that share the same goal: to introduce kids to tackle football, develop skills, give them some game experience and, most importantly, work to ensure that each kid has a great team-oriented experience. The EMMSFL includes several neighboring towns including Bedford, Belmont, Lexington, Arlington, Winchester and other towns. We are going into our 3rd season this fall in the Eastern Mass.
